BodyBreak pair set for P.G. visit
Johnson and McLeod have been providing healthy living tips for 25 years through short television segments and other media platforms, emphasizing how small lifestyle changes can have a big impact on overall health.
The married couple shot back on to the national stage this summer as part of the inaugural season of The Amazing Race Canada. Early race favourites, Johnson and McLeod were eliminated midway through the reality show’s run.
During their Prince George appearance on Oct. 20 at the expo at the Civic Centre, Johnson and McLeod will drawn upon the books they’ve written to give a presentation on the five key areas to live a healthier lifestyle. They will talk about the importance of being active, strengthening muscles, healthy eating, improved sleep and attitude.
In addition to the BodyBreak duo, the expo will feature a presentation from Candice Manahan Coyne on eating a gluten-free diet in Prince George. There will also be workshops on health and fitness ranging from yoga and zumba to healthy eating choices and ways to maintain a healthy lifestyle at work.
The seventh annual expo is put on by the Citizen, Prince George-Valemount MLA Shirley Bond and the Immigrant and Multicultural Services Society. It runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Oct. 20, is free of charge and aims to give individuals and families the tools they need to improve their fitness and live a healthy life.
