The scream of disappointment when you were officially eliminated could be heard for many blocks around, no doubt. As you said, some times it just comes down to luck, and the best teams aren’t always the ones that get the farthest. Thanks for being, as always, such a great inspiration. You both were awesome 🙂
Hal, Joanne, it was a pleasure to watch you on the race! We are all very bummed out about you getting eliminated !! If the race was about fitness and skill alone, no doubt, you would have won!!

You guys rock! My hubby and I had a debate tonight as to whether we’d choose to U turn you if we were in the race. I couldn’t/ wouldn’t do it out of love and respect for my childhood fitness heros but he would out of respect and sheer fear of you kicking his butt in the end. <3 you both!

Thank you for the kind words and the big SHOUT OUT! Both you guys (and Michael Jackson) were ‘Gone too soon’!! You guys shared both our drive to win but more importantly our mindset of racing fair and treating others with kindness and respect. Truly was a blast competing with you two, and getting to know you that much better since. Glad we’re keeping in touch, and hope to see you soon!

What a disappointment to see you two eliminated. However, you both were just great role models and an inspiration to all of us who watched. Neither of you ever complained and I was so impressed that you never got upset and/or frustrated with each other. Talk about great examples for all couples!! Well done.

You were my favourites in the race and I was so disappointed to see you eliminated. I congratulate on your feisty determination, your integrity and your physical and problem solving abilities. I will echo what I mentioned on Twitter last night: It is a really big disappointment Team BodyBreak didn’t make it. If only you had better luck with the lentils!
It was such an inspiration watching the two of you keep up with all the younger competition and proving to all of us that an active lifestyle can keep you *feeling* young well into your 50s. Your time on The Amazing Race Canada has also been a great example for couples with respect to working together as a team and supporting each other. Your daughter should be very, very proud of you.
I watched you every week, and I was so proud of you. You showed what true Canadian spirit is all about. It’s about integrity, sportsmanship, kindness, competitiveness, and manners. As previous comments state,

We loved seeing you on the show!! It was so amazing that after all of these years you both are still so amazingly fit and proved it by being such great competitors. We were so disappointed to see you eleminated. We want to apologize on behalf of all Winnipegers for Tim and Tim’s Uturn =) My husband and I would love to see more Hal and Joanne Body Break episodes for our kids to watch as we did as kids please!
We’re sad to see you go, and will miss your positive attitude. Your presence was refreshing in what could easily turn into a poisonous environment. No melodrama to be found from you guys 🙂
My husband and I agreed after your elimination that we would throw our support behind Jet and Dave… They seem like a great time with a good heart (and Jet’s Jim Carrey reference in Monday’s episode made my husband laugh out loud: “Laces out!”)
So wonderful to have a Canadian version of The Amazing Race. There’s so much to see and learn about each city. It’s really peaking our interests for a more indepth exploration of Canadian cities!

I NEVER WATCHED THE AMAZING RACE BEFORE BUT SINCE IT WAS IN CANADA IT WAS GREAT TO SEE WHAT A WONDERFUL COUNTRY WE LIVE IN. THE SCENERY UP NORTH WAS UNREAL. I LOOKED FORWARD TO BOTH OF YOU EACH WEEK. I TOO WAS DISAPPOINTED THAT YOU WERE ELIMINATED , YOU PLAYED THE GAME WELL. THE TASK OF FINDING TWO MOUNTIES IN THE LENTILS IN THAT HEAT WAS DISAPPOINTING. AT ONE POINT YOU INDICATED THEY ONLY GAVE YOU WATER AFTER A FEW HOURS; TO ME THIS WAS UNACCEPTABLE, IT MAY BE A RACE BUT ONE MUST ALSO STAY HYDRATED. OVERALL, GREAT SPORTMANSHIP AND TEAMWORK.

Oh how nice it was to see your faces again on the Amazing Race! You were so respectful and kind to each other during the show. We enjoyed your encouraging and positive comments. What a shame it didn’t last longer, but it was so wonderful to “share” you with the next generation. My kids stayed up late tonight watching your Body Break commercials. So you’re famous with the next generation! I hope you two stay in the public eye. You’re such an inspiration and you send such a great message to Canadians. Best of luck to you both!
When I heard that you two were going to be on Amazing Race, I COMPLETELY LOST IT. Despite living in South Korea now, I was really excited to watch. During my vacation home, seeing you two on my TV again totally made my Mondays. Now that I’m back in Korea, seeing this episode (waiting for it on the site) was heart breaking, but you two were so classy about it.

My daughter and I were competing for two separate teams, and of course you both were my favourites. I told my 13 year old daughter that I was voting for both of you because you gave me an excellent soup recipe…and she said “are you kidding me!” She was voting for the doctors. You played very fair and respected each other throughout the show….sorry to see you both go…

I GREW UP WITH YOU BOTH! WHAT MEMORIES YOU BOTH BROUGHT BACK TO ME WHEN I WAS A ‘KID’. WATCHING YOU ON THE SHOW WAS GREAT AND SEEING YOU ELIMINATED MADE THE SHOW THAT MUCH HARDER TO CONTINUE WATCHING. DITCH THE ‘STACHE HAL. I grew up watching you guys, I have a Phys. Ed. degree because of you two, you are such Canadian icons that I have been exploring nominating you for an Order of Canada!
